Dr. Amy Zuker invests her energy, passion and expertise into the care of each patient. In her over 30 years of practicing general dentistry on Long Island her approach is always gentle, thoughtful and kind. In addition to her technical proficiency, she listens attentively to her patients’ concerns and explains all treatment options in an easy to understand way. Dr. Zuker earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA in 1984, followed by a year of biomedical research. She studied dentistry at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, from which she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1990. She completed a General Practice Residency Program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center before entering private practice. Dr. Zuker stays at the forefront of dental science and research as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of General Dentistry at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Zuker grew up in Toronto, Canada. She moved with her family to California, and remained there through college. While in dental school in Boston, she met her husband Dr. Steven Schwartz, an Orthodontist and a Long Island native. They made Melville, LI, their home, and have raised their three sons – twins Nathaniel and Aaron, and younger brother Eli. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Zuker enjoys reading, mountain biking, hiking, and traveling to our National Parks.
